Scurry County sexual assault suspect captured in New Mexico

CURRY COUNTY, New Mexico (KTAB/KRBC) - A sexual assault suspect who was on the run from Scurry County was captured in New Mexico last week.

On Friday, July 7, 2017, Abraham Gonzales-Silva, 25, was apprehended in Clovis, New Mexico, according to a press release from the Curry County Sheriff's Office. 

Gonzales-Silva is wanted in Scurry County for 2nd Degree Felony Sexual Assault. 

No details on the allegations against Gonzales-Silva have been released. 

He's currently in the Curry County Jail awaiting extradition to Texas.
