Snyder Man Gets Federal Prison Time for Child Porn

SNYDER, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A Snyder man has been sentenced to serve over 5 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to Federal child pornography charges. 

Roberto Quinonez Albarez, Jr. pleaded guilty to Receipt of a Visual Depiction of a Minor Engaging in Sexually Explicit Conduct, and Aiding and Abetting, in March of 2017 and was sentenced to 63 months in federal prison for the crimes. 

Court records state the charges were issued in connection to an incident that happened between September of 2014 and March of 2015. 

Albarez is a accused of communicating with a minor in Travis County. The court records say this minor sent explicit images to his phone.

As a condition of the plea deal, Federal officials seized Albarez's phone and all other electronic devices capable of being used for child pornography.
