South Abilene business sign struck by lightning, falls over

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - During the storms Saturday night, an Abilene business had their sign blow down.

The Cotton Patch Cafe on South Clack Street lost part of their sign when lightning struck it during the storms that blew through the area Saturday.

While at a birthday party at the restaurant, Eddie Rodriquez and his daughter, Marrissa Rodriquez who took the photo, saw the flash from the lightning and then heard the sign fall. At first, some thought it had hit the roof, but it had in fact fallen on a car in the parking lot.

No injuries were reported.
