State 4-H Horse Show gallops into Abilene for 34th consecutive year

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - In a press release, the Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau announced Abilene will once again host the Texas State 4-H Horse Show at the Taylor County Expo Center.

From July 22 through July 29, the State 4-H Horse Show will be in Abilene, and is expected to bring in well over 1,300 people to the Key City.

For 8 days, over 1,000 competitors aged 9-18 will participate in events such as showmanship, western riding, English riding, roping and more over the course of the event.

All events are free and open to the public.

The Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau would like to encourage all who can to come and support these visitors as they come to stay in and enjoy our city for the 34th straight year.

“Abilene is very fortunate to host the 4-H State Horse Show for so many years,” says Pam Sites, Convention Services Director Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau. “An event this size takes the entire community working together and it’s clear why the 4-H group has chosen to come to Abilene for so many years: the hotels, sponsors, volunteers and the incredible staff at the Expo Center help ensure that their event goes off without a hitch.” Sites continued. “It’s a true honor to host them.”
