Suspect accused of robbing Abilene 7-Eleven arrested

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A suspect accused of robbing an Abilene 7-Eleven over the summer has been arrested.

Audrick Gandy, 21, is now being held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling over $70,000 for Aggravated Robbery and other, unrelated charges.

Court documents state Gandy was identified as the getaway driver who waited at a 7-Eleven on Buffalo Gap Road while three juvenile suspects armed with knives robbed the store in June of 2017.

Once inside, the documents state the unnamed juvenile suspects ordered the clerk to open the safe then took cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

Police were able to identify Gandy and his juvenile accomplices through videos posted to social media.

One of the accomplices confessed to committing the crime and named Gandy as the getaway driver, according to the documents.
