Suspect accused of shooting Abilene teen charged for another robbery

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A suspect behind bars for allegedly shooting and robbing a 15-year-old earlier this month is now facing charges for another crime.

Shawnocey Droemer, 17, is now facing a Robbery charge in addition to an Aggravated Robbery charge issued after the shooting incident. He's being held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling $175,000.

The Robbery charge stems from an incident that happened in June of 2017. Court documents state the victim contacted police and said he was standing on Kirkwood Street when an unknown suspect approached him and began punching him in the face.

The documents state that when the victim fell to the ground, the suspect took $100 from his pocket as well as his tennis shoes.

Droemer was not identified as the suspect involved until October of 2017. The victim was able to, "immediately identify Droemer as the individual who robbed him," after he was shown Droemer's mugshot from the shooting incident, according to the documents, which state the victim was then able to identify Droemer from Facebook pictures as well.

Droemer was booked into jail on October 15th after he was identified as the suspect accused of shooting a 15-year-old in the chest before running away with cash and the victim's cell phone.

That incident also happened on Kirkwood Street.
