Suspect gets 35 years for north Abilene shooting

ABILENE, Texas (:KTAB/KRBC) - An Abilene man has been sentenced to serve 35 years behind bars for shooting two men in 2014.

Ezequiel Alvarez, 30, received his 35-year-sentence Friday, following his conviction on one count of Aggravated Assault in May. 

Court documents state Alvarez got into an argument with a group of people at a bar in 2014, then went over to a north Abilene home and began shooting at the ground outside. 

When one of the victims walked out, Alvarez shot him in the foot then opened fire on him and a second victim, shooting one in the chest and one in the abdomen, according to the documents.
