Suspect indicted for death of Abilene man shot at party

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A suspect accused of shooting an Abilene man at a party has been indicted for Manslaughter and Criminal Negligent Homicide.

Willie Pruitt, 32, was indicted during a Taylor County Grand Jury session Thursday in connection to the death of Teahoga "T-Money" Glover.

Court documents state a witness told police Pruitt went to a party hosted by Glover at a home on Swenson Street in July of 2017.

This witness claims that when Pruitt arrived inside, he pulled out a gun, pointed it at Glover's head, and said 'n**** you don't think I will shoot you', according to the documents.

Pruitt and Glover then began to exchange words, and the documents state the witness then saw a flame from Pruitt's gun and realized Glover had been shot.

During a subsequent interview, the documents state Pruitt initially claimed Glover had already been shot when he arrived but "finally did tell [the detective] that he shot Glover once in the chest" and also admitted to giving the gun to a 3rd party and told him "to take care of it".
