Suspect indicted for murder of Brownwood man

BROWNWOOD, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A suspect has been indicted for the murder of a Brownwood man who was shot and killed in May. 

Preston Dillon Browne,  25, was indicted on the following charges connected to the death of Larry Irvin, 29: Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence. 

Browne is accused of shooting Irvin at a home on the 300 block of N. Greenleaf Street in Brownwood on May 20, 2017. 

Irvin initially survived his injuries but later passed away while receiving treatment at the hospital. 

Browne was arrested the same day Irvin was killed. He is being held in the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling over $600,000.
