Suspect seen entering vehicles in Mall of Abilene parking lot arrested

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A suspect seen entering multiple vehicles in the Mall of Abilene parking lot Tuesday night has been arrested.

Brandon Hall, 25, was taken into custody at the scene of the crime for Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

A police report says several witnesses saw Hall checking door handles on vehicles parked outside JCPenney at the mall just before 7:30 p.m. The witnesses say he entered multiple unlocked vehicles.

Once officers arrived on scene, they located Hall, took him into custody for Burglary, then had a K9 sniff his vehicle, according to the report, which says the K9 found drug paraphernalia and Valium pills. There were also items belonging to one of the vehicle burglary victims in Hall's possession.

Hall was being combative upon arrest and was placed in the violent hold tank until he calms down enough for the booking process.

The mugshot shared in conjunction with this article is from one of Hall's previous arrests.
