Teenager killed in car accident near Rock The Desert on Friday evening

MIDLAND, Texas (Local 2/FOX 24) - One teenage girl is dead after an accident occurred near the front entrance of Rock the Desert on Friday evening, according to authorities.

Rachel Walker, a Midland Police Department spokesperson, says the Midland Police Department and the Fire Department responded to the two-vehicle accident at around 6:49 p.m. at 2000 S FM 1788.

Walker says a Subaru carrying five passengers was hit by a Dodge Ram when the vehicle was waiting to turn left. Authorities add the truck didn't realize the Subaru was stopped, which lead to the collision.

Police say 19-year-old Hannah Fox was sitting in the rear center passenger seat when she was killed by the crash.

The other four passengers in the Subaru and the driver of the truck were all transported with non-life threatening injuries.

The report says no charges have been filed on the driver of the truck at this time.
