Texas A&M Forest Service issues map of burn bans across the state

AUSTIN, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - The Texas A&M Forest Service has issued an updated map of counties currently under burn bans in time for the 4th of July.

With the 4th of July comes fireworks, and with fireworks comes the heightened risk of unintentional fires. Couple that with the increased risk of fire due to high temperatures and strong West Texas winds and this can create a very dangerous situation.

To help keep everyone informed of increased fire risks, the Texas A&M Forest Service has released a map of counties in Texas with burn bans currently in place.

For the Big Country, the counties of Throckmorton, Stephens, Callahan, Coleman and Brown are currently under burn bans.
