Texas Tech on lock down after shooting reported at campus police department

Shooter is still at large

LUBBOCK, Texas (KLBK) - Lubbock Police and EMS were called to the Texas Tech Police Department Monday evening for the report of a shooting.

It was not immediately clear if the shooting was inside the TTUPD or nearby the police station. 

The extent of injuries to the shooting victim was not known.  

Police radio traffic indicated there was a search for a suspect but official information has not yet been released.  

The time of the call was 7:50 p.m.  The address is 413 Flint Avenue in Lubbock. 

Texas Tech University's official Twitter account tweeted, "A shooting has been reported at TTU Police Department. Shooter is at large. The campus is on lockdown. Take shelter."
