The loss of two young girls impacts Big Country

ABILENE, Texas (KRBC) - An accident on Interstate 20 leads to the loss of two young girls during a chain-reaction wreck Friday morning. 
"Today we lost two precious kids," said Chief Stan Standridge for the Abilene Police Department.
These wrecks are never easy for first responders.
"We do so much of this that you never get accustom to it but what you do is you just go into work mode," said Chief Standridge.
The community, called out to help. 
"Pray for the atmosphere of our city and that atmosphere be a place that is a safe place especially for our children," said Scott Beard, senior pastor at FountainGate Fellowship Church.
Touching people all around the Big Country. 
"From the bottom of my heart how heart broken we are concerning this tragedy. It is close to home. My son was in a multiple fatality accident, two were killed and he survived."
"I have two daughters myself so I can't imagine," said Chief Standridge.
The Abilene Police department, taking the emotional pain and channeling back into the work that has to be done.
"You are seeing the Abilene Police Department and DPS and other agencies mobilizing to help this family heal," said Chief Standridge.
