Three Suspects Indicted for Abilene Bar Fight, Stabbing

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Three suspects have been indicted for a bar fight that sent a victim to the hospital for emergency surgery after he was stabbed multiple times.

Cherokee Miller, 31, Jacob Garcia, 33, and Daniel Machado, 34, have all been indicted for Aggravated Assault in connection to the incident that happened in September of 2016.

Court documents say the victim was at the Western Edge Bar in Abilene when a female (later identified as Miller) began to argue with his girlfriend.

The argument escalated to a fight, and when the victim asked two men behind him for help breaking it up, the documents say the men (later identified as Garcia and Machado) began punching the victim.

He "soon realized he was being stabbed" then collapsed, according to the documents, which say he was rushed to the hospital to undergo emergency surgery.

Witnesses were able to identify all three suspects accused in the assault.

Machado remains in the Taylor County Jail. Miller and Garcia were released after posting a $75,000 bond each.
