MEDFORD, New Jersey (KTAB/KRBC) - NBCDFW.com reports that half of the country music duo Montgomery Gentry died Friday afternoon.
Troy Gentry, 50, died in a helicopter crash near the Flying W Airport in Burlington County, New Jersey at about 1 p.m., according to NBCDFW.com.
The band confirmed the death in a tweet.

The duo was set to play a concert at the airport later in the evening.
Montgomery Gentry was made up of Troy Gentry and Eddie Montgomery, both Kentucky natives.
