Two Arrested for Abilene Robbery, Victims Tied-Up, Held at Gunpoint

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Two suspects accused of robbing multiple victims at gunpoint inside a south Abilene home have been arrested.

Anatasia Acosta, 19, and Jacob Galvan, 23, were both taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Robbery just after 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

Arrest reports claim investigators responded to a home on the 8000 block Vita Court that morning after a victim called to report multiple people inside the home were "tied-up and robbed at gunpoint".

When officers arrived on scene, the witnesses told them the suspects, later identified as Acosta and Galvan, had entered the home uninvited and used a gun and bat to rob them, according to the reports.

Acosta and Galvan were later contacted after they were spotted walking down Buffalo Gap Road. The reports say they were taken into custody after several witnesses identified them as the suspects involved in the robbery.

Galvan was found with two concealed firearms on his person, and Acosta was gave her mother's information when police asked her for identification, the reports state.

Acosta and Galvan are now being held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling over $100,000 each for Aggravated Robbery and additional charges and warrants.

An incident report says the items stolen include clothing, a gun, a Rolex watch, $4,000 in cash, a phone, and a wallet.

Four victims total were involved in the robbery, according to this incident report.
