Wylie ISD school board calls for $45 million bond election

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Abilene residents that pay property taxes to Wylie ISD have the opportunity to vote on a $45 million bond that will fund the growing school district.

The bond will be on the ballot for the upcoming election on November 7, 2017. 

The $45 million would be used to fund two new campuses that will open to the public by 2020. Details on the school district's plans can be viewed at this link. 

If the bond passes, homeowners in the district will pay roughly an extra $330 per year for a home valued at $200,000.
