Abilene local, Veronica Reed gave birth to Hannah Grace at 11:59 p.m. on New Year's Eve, 2013; her identical twin sister, Danielle Lyn, was born at 12:00 a.m. on New Year's Day.
When Reed went to Abilene Regional Medical Center for her routine check-up on New Year's Eve, it seemed her twins had other plans. She wasn't schedule to give birth until January 3rd. With a twist in fate, it seemed the situation was destined.
She calls her babies "a true miracle." While she was pregnant, her twins were diagnosed with a rare disorder known as Twin To Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTTS). Doctors thought one of the twins would not make it.
