"Chaos, constant, chaos" said Debbie Barker.
"It's always chaotic, I love coming here, but it's always a traffic jam," Michael McKissick said.
Both Chick-Fil-A customers and Abilene residents say that sometimes the trip to pick up some lunch can be stressful.
It's around 11:30 a.m. that the line of cars begins.
"Over a hundred, it ranges from one hundred and twelve to fifteen, to a hundred and twenty," said Ginger Burnett, an employee of Chick-Fil-A, and drive thru worker.
Closer to 12:30 p.m. the congestion begins, along with honking and traffic jams.
"As soon as we saw someone pull out," said Rachel Gray. "There was a truck coming to try and get it but we pulled in real quick so."
But that is all about to change.
"We're expanding, we're gonna be getting a double drive through in mid-August, and we're super excited," said Burnett.
She said a second drive-thru became necessary after they realized cars were driving away and heading to other restaurants.
Construction is set to begin in mid-August and Burnett tells us that once it begins, the new drive thru will be done fairly quickly.
