People in Abilene got an exclusive look Saturday morning at what it's like to track a storm.

The San Angelo National Weather Service held their annual Skywarn Storm Spotter training at Abilene Christian University. National Weather Service warning meteorologist Hector Guerrero conducted the 3-hour training that discussed topics about floods, lightning, high winds and grass fire.

The purpose of the event is to teach spotters how to evaluate severe thunderstorms and stay safe while doing it.

Around 100 people were in attendance from various cities throughout the Big Country.
