An all-day supply drive outside the H-E-B parking lot on Saturday helped gather school supplies for students in the Big Country.

The organization Communities in Schools teamed up with H-E-B on Barrow Street to host an event called "Stuff The Bus."

The goal is to simply fill the bus with school items such as pens, pencils, scissors, and paper. Anyone was able to purchase items at the store and leave the bags in side the bus or place a cash donation.

"They don't realize that it doesn't only help kids with school needs but with their confidence," Christian Clyburn, program coordinator said.

The event lasted from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Communities in Schools helps support and empower students in the community to stay in school, graduate, and set goals for the future.
