The ACU Wildcats continue Spring football practice tomorrow afternoon and the search for a new quarterback continues.

Head coach Ken Collums has to replace John David Baker who threw for over 3,300 yards and had a hand in 40 touchdowns.

Malcolm Ruben and Parker McKenzie are the only returners with any experience, very little experience with 60 yards on 7 attempts.

3 others are in the hunt, so the competition is wide open.

Coach Collums said, with a smile on his face, "When you talk about quarterback play, you better come up with something. I mean, somebody's going to have to step up."

Collums added, I feel good about the guys that we have. We're going to create some fierce competition. I'm gonna get after them a little bit. We really to figure out what these guys are gonna do, and, actually, what can they bring to the table other than just sitting there and throwing the ball. I need to know, can you protect the ball? Can you make somebody miss? We got a lot of questions that we've got to answer, but we'll set things up to where we can get those answered."

Besides Ruben and McKenzie, freshmen Kade Mundin, Will Weathers, and Cody Luttrell are competing in the Spring.

Recent signees Cody Ennis and Dallas Seaey will join the fray this summer.
