Lubbock Christian Cruises Past McMurry, 6-0

ABILENE, Texas – Billy Forbes scored two second-half goals as Lubbock Christian University upended McMurry University 6-0 Saturday afternoon in Heartland Conference action at Edwards Field.

LCU (8-4-1, 5-1 Heartland) peppered McM goalkeeper Neil O'Sullivan (Saffron Walden, England/Cloud County CC) with 21 shots in the first half and kept the Chaparrals off the scoreboard.

However, LCU was able to break open the game in the second half.

Mbongei Ndlova and Nick Gorrie scored five minutes in the second half to give LCU a 2-0 lead.

Forbes added goals at the 61-minute and 64-minute marks and LCU grabbed control.

McM (4-9-1, 2-4) play host to University of Texas of the Permian Basin Monday at noon.
