Suzzy Dimba Named Southland Conference Women's Player of the Week

Abilene Christian freshman forward Suzzy Dimba was named the Women's Basketball Player of the Week after her performance against Texas Tech Sunday.

In the Wildcats win 58-57 win over Texas Tech, Dimba led the team in scoring with 16 points, and 13 rebounds. The win over Dimba's hometown Lady Raiders is the first victory over a member of the Big 12 conference for the ACU women's basketball program, and the first over Texas Tech since 1978.

Dimba averaged 11.6 points and 8.4 rebounds per game to go along with 2.2 steals, 1.4 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest over the last five games. The Wildcats won three out of those five.
