Sweetwater Jaycees Snake Buyer Runs Out of Room to Transport Snakes

The Sweetwater Jaycees' snake buyer ran out of room to transport the snakes from the Rattlesnake Roundup to their location.

The snakes are usually shipped in special boxes in a large truck but due to the amount of snakes this year, the Jaycees had to load 10,000 pounds of snakes into two rented U-haul trailers.

This year the Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup had a record breaking 24,481 pounds of snakes. The previous record was set in 1982 with 18,000 pounds of snakes. The Roundup has been going on for 58 years.

The snakes reportedly arrived to their buyer's facility safely.
