Two Abilene Convenience Stores Robbed of Cash, Cigarettes

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Two Abilene convenience stores were robbed of cash and cigarettes early Wednesday morning.

The first robbery happened at a store on the 5100 block of Highway 277. A police report states two suspects entered the store around 1:45 a.m., then one pulled out a knife and threatened the clerk before the suspects fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes, and beer.

A second police report says a suspect also threatened a clerk with a knife at a store on the 2600 block of Buffalo Gap Road just after 4:00 a.m. The suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes before fleeing that scene as well, according to the report.

No suspects have been identified in connection to either of these early morning robberies.

Police told KTAB and KRBC the robberies could be related, but the investigation is still underway.
