Two men have been arrested late Monday night after allegedly stealing a gun and money from a home in the Alameda Addition.

The incident happened before 10 p.m. on the 5300 block of Encino Road. According to police, both men left the house with a firearm and large amount of cash. Police say that one of the men is in a relationship with a resident of the home.

After receiving the call, gun shots were fired into the air and police were able to find and detain both men on Taos & Corsicana Avenue. A 26-year-old man was charged with discharge of a weapon in a municipality and theft of a firearm.  The other suspect was a 19-year-old charged with theft of a firearm and money.

So far, the case is still under investigation after police received reports that a third person might've been involved. As of Tuesday morning, police haven't disclosed the amount of money stolen or the names of the men arrested.
