UPDATE: Vernon College Rodeo Team Member Killed, 2 Injured in Haskell County Crash

(HASKELL COUNTY, TEXAS)-- A Vernon College Rodeo Team member died in a crash in Haskell County on Saturday evening. Two teammates were also seriously injured.

Investigators tell KTAB/KRBC that the crash happened around 6 pm on Highway 277 at Country Club Road.

According to friends and family, 20 year old Yancie McCuistion of Sugar City, Colorado was killed in the crash. 

Jakob Plummer, 20, of Petrolia, Texas was also injured in the crash. Friends tell KTAB/KRBC that 20-year-old Drew Hill, of Canadian, Texas, was also injured in the crash. Hill is in stable condition with a broken femur.

A fourth person, Vinita Trevino was also involved in the crash. The extent of Trevinos' injuries are unknown.

Vernon College issued the following statement on their Facebook page Sunday morning:

"Vernon College extends concern and support for members of our rodeo team and the Vernon College student involved in a vehicle accident.

Sincere condolences to the family of Yancie McCuistion and continued prayers for Drew Hill, Jakob Plummer, Vinita Trevino and their families."
