David Robinett said, "Coach Warren, a good win for your guys. Tough 1st half, and in the 2nd half, it seemed like the defense really stepped up and the offense hung on to the football."

AHS head coach Steve Warren said, "I am proud of the defense. It was a shoot out to start with like a lot of them have been this year. (We) clamped down on them and shut'em out in the last 2 quarters. That was a really good feeling and came away with a really good win."

Robinett said, "I was going to talk about that really good feeling about the defense making some plays. The offensive guys are saying when the defense makes some plays it helps us a ton, and it's got to make them(defense) feel good, too."

Coach Warren said, "We given up a bunch of points this year and a bunch of yards, and that's not just us. It seems like everybody across the state is doing that.  We found a way to get some stops in the 2nd half and responded offensively. It was a good night for us."

Robinett said, "You put a freshman in the back field, and the 1st time he touched the football Abram Smith scored a touchdown. The 2nd time he touched the football Abram Smith scored a touchdown. He was making this varsity stuff look easy, like he was ready for the NFL. He had a really good debut."

Coach Warren said, "He had a great debut. He did a lot of things good. Running the ball was the easy part. The pass protection, all the mental stuff, you know, listening for the checks at the line of scrimmage, things like that, he handled himself really well. I think his offensive line gave him an opportunity to make some plays, as well."
