The Albany Lions could make it 2 Class A teams from the Big Country at AT&T Stadium next week if they can get past Wellington on Saturday.

The Rockets are one of the highest scoring teams in the state with an average of 50 points a game.

The Albany defense has been good all season, but Wellington's running game will test those guys this week in the Class A Div. II semifinals.

Denney Faith said "They've got the best running back we'll see all year, and maybe the best one that will see all year. So you've got to be able to tackle him. He's going to be fast, strong. They've got a good quarterback that can throw it around. They play real aggressive and fly around on defense and going to put a lot of pressure on you. So, you got to be able to come out and execute and play good defense, take care of the football"

The Lions and Wellington are set to play on Saturday up in Lubbock. Albany is ranked 6th. Wellington is 2nd in the state.
