Albany Rallies for Walk-Off Win Over Stamford, 6-5

The Albany Lady Lions punched their ticket for the regional semifinals with a walk-off win over district rival Stamford at Wells Field on Saturday.

Stamford would lead by one in the fifth inning, but Albany would rally to take the lead after a throw to first got away from the Lady Bulldogs. Two runs would score and Albany would jump in front 4-3.

The Lady Dogs would answer right back in the sixth inning. Stephanee McGee would hit into a fielders choice with the bases loaded to drive in a run and put Stamford in front 5-4.

Then in the bottom half of the seventh, Kassidy Sullivan would smoke down the left field line to score to Lady Lions and give Albany the walk-off 6-5 victory.
