The Stamford Bulldogs fought all kinds of problems on their way to their playoff opening victory over Panhandle on Saturday night.

First and foremost, they had to deal with the difficulty of the ever changing schedule.

It changed at least 4 times before they ended up playing in Bowie, where the Bulldogs settle in and whipped the Panthers.

"When we went up to Bowie. I told them, 'it's going to be cold, it's going to be cold on their side too and it's going to be cold on our side. It really boils down to who is more mentally tough.' There's no reason why we can't go out and be a little tougher than Panhandle, and I though our kids really did that," said head coach Wayne Hutchinson.

"It was a very big change in routine. I think that played a part in why we got off to such a slow start , but ultimately we have to overcome that' and only focus on the game an our opponents in front of us," said Tyler Neatherlin.

So, now it's on to the Regional championship game for the Bulldogs. Sundown is next up for Stamford. That game is Friday at 2 in Post.
