Cisco Rises to the Top in Harris Ratings, 5 Big Country Teams Ranked

A total of five Big Country teams remain ranked by Harris Ratings, and three of them are still alive in the playoffs after the quarterfinal round.

The Cisco Loboes made the jump to the top spot in Class 2A Div. II after their 42-14 win over Canadian on Monday afternoon. They'll take on seventh ranked Leonard next Saturday with a trip to AT&T Stadium on the line.

In division one, the Eastland Mavericks drop one spot to number six after falling to Wall on Monday night. The Mavericks finish the season with a 13-1 record.

Two teams remain ranked in Class 1A Div. I, and the Stamford Bulldogs are once again in the second spot after a thrilling 29-26 win over third ranked New Deal on Monday afternoon. They will now take on tenth ranked Hico on Saturday afternoon with the chance of making a third straight trip to the state title game.

The Anson Tigers once again in the fifth spot in division one, and just one spot behind Stratford; who knocked them out in the area round.

Albany jumped two spots to number six this week after beating Muenster 20-13 on Monday afternoon in Mineral Wells. They will now face their toughest test of the season on Saturday when they take on second ranked Wellington in Lubbock.
