The Clyde Bulldogs picked up their first playoff win in six seasons in 2013, but aren't satisfied with one bi-district title.

"We wanted more last year, but we just came up short in the end," said Jordan Canada.

"We want [winning in the playoffs] to be a thing we do every year. Once the black helmet's on ,Clyde's Clyde, and we're going to try and be better than the year before. Not be a every six year playoff win team," said Rocky Smart.

The players also have the goals of not just winning more playoff games, but also going further than any Clyde team in the school's history.

"We want to go farther, deeper in the playoffs than we did last year. Try and get to the fourth round, and beat the team that went three rounds a couple years ago," said Brady Holsinger.

The Bulldogs lose plenty of players off last year's team, and will have to lean on some younger players in a few big roles this year. Along with that will come the need for senior leadership.

"Of course, we don't have that many seniors on the team this year. Those guys that are here will be leaders, and step up for the team. It should be as good as last year. We'll have those leaders to lead both the offense and defense," said Canada.

"We just got to step up and be leaders because we've got a lot of juniors and sophomores on the team. They just got to step up and be leaders to them, and play big roles like our seniors did last year," said Holsinger.

Clyde does have some key players back this year, like quarterback Ty Spears and running back Christian Eubanks.

"The ones that are coming back are good ones, and we replace the ones we lost with some young athletic ones. As soon as those young guys come around, I feel things will hopefully go our way," said Smart.

The Bulldogs open the 2014 season against Comanche on August 29th.
