District play begins for a hand full teams this week in Class 2A and Class A. The Clyde Bullldogs are 1 of those teams.

Head coach Rocky Smarts Bulldogs enter District 4-2A play with an even 2-2 record.

Every team tries to use the non-district part of the schedule to get better.

The Bulldogs say they have done that, and the proof can be seen in the teams victory last week over Lamesa.

"We wanted to get better each week in non-district. So, to have a win right before district is a pretty big deal, and it's something we're going to build on. Coming into district everybody is 0-0, and we're just excited to start the new season," said head coach Rocky Smart.

"Everybody takes it pretty seriously now. It's not really as much about just playing games. It' smore like this matters, and this will decide our future, and what we do from here on out," said Mason Latham.

"Just that realization that every week is extremely important and if you lose one you're putting yourself behind the eight ball a little bit. So, we just want to take it one game at a time and try to get a win each week," said Smart.

The Bulldogs open district at home against the Jim Ned Indians. Both team enter the game with 2-2 records.
