Clyde Rises in Softball Coaches Poll, 9 Big Country Teams Ranked

The Clyde Lady Bulldogs are among this week's big movers in the Texas Girls Coaches Association softball poll, and among the nine Big Country team ranked this week.

Snyder is the lone team ranked in Class 3A this week at number ten. On Tuesday, the Lady Tigers locked up a district title with a 5-1 win over Wylie.

The Hawley Lady Bearcats once again are the highest ranked team from the Big Country at number two in Class 2A. Not far behind them is the Clyde Lady Bulldogs. This week they jump a total of five spots to number ten after wins over Breckenridge and Eastland.

The Comanche Maidens make their debut in the Class 2A rankings this week at number 15 ahead of their match-up with Clyde on Friday.

The majority of the teams ranked in the Big Country once again come from Class 1A. The Stamford Lady Bulldogs remain the highest ranked Big Country team at number three.

Santa Anna inches closer this week by moving into the top ten at number nine.

DeLeon (24), Gorman (25), and Haskell (30) round out the five Big Country teams ranked in Class 1A.
