Colt McCoy Signs with the Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins on Thursday announced they have signed veteran quarterback Colt McCoy. Terms of the deal were not announced.

McCoy, 27, has played four seasons for the Cleveland Browns (2010-2012) and San Francisco 49ers (2013).

In 28 total games played -- with 21 starts -- McCoy has completed 410 out of 703 passes with 4,401 yards and 21 touchdowns.

His best season came in 2011 with the Browns, when McCoy in 13 games completed 265 passes for 2,733 yards and 14 touchdowns.

McCoy was a third-round (85th overall) pick of the Browns in the 2010 NFL Draft. He starred at the University of Texas, where he started three years and was twice a Heisman Trophy Award finalist.
