Coogs are in a good spot

October 3, 2017 - The Cooper Cougars built a two touchdown lead against Austin Bowie on Friday night, but the Bulldogs were able to recover and beat the Cougars in overtime.

Cooper is halfway through the season, and this is a good time to evaluate the progress of the team.

Coach Moebes likes where his team is right now.

Todd Moebes said, "I think we are in a good spot. We've gotten better every week. Even last week, we probably had more mismatches across the board that we were able to overcome than we've had in the first four games. I'm really proud of our guys and the way they rose up to the occasion. Those things are going to be there as we continue to move along. We are playing good football right now."

Cooper is 4-1 after non-district play.

They open district against Lubbock Monterey next week in Lubbock.
