Coogs Ready to Get Past 3rd Round Hump

May 16, 2017 - We continue to get you ready for Cooper's 3rd round playoff series this week. The Cougars are back in this round for the 2nd year in a row.

It's been a long time since they've gone past this round, as a matter of fact, this round is a barrier for most teams at Cooper.

It's frustrating, but the baseball team plans to break through the barrier this week.
Zach Goodson said, "It's kind of like the Cooper third round curse is what we say because not even our football or like, everyone, every time we hit third round there's always something that we can't get past so, I know everyone is tired right now in the post season, but right now it's just continuing to play and execute and play good baseball because we're on a role right now."

Austin Smith said, "One thing's for sure. We definitely have to start a lot faster than we have the past games because the past couple games we've come out so slow, and we start hitting late in the game so I mean that's one thing, but I think our confidence has to stay up."

Cooper opens their 3rd round series with Canyon Randall in Hobbs, New Mexico on Friday at 4.

Game 2 is Saturday at 10 in the morning.
