Cooper ran the ball for 527 yards against Abilene High last week with six rushing touchdowns.
It's a potent attack, and it takes all 11 players on offense to get it done.
Offensive lineman Lucas Raley said, "You can't have one or two guys not doing their assignment every play. It has to be all 11 guys working together as a team to try their hardest every down. We do a lot of conditioning out here every week. Coach Moebes makes sure we are ready by the time we get to Friday. All 11 guys are ready to fire off every play."
Running back Trey Dye added, "If everybody's doing their job we'll break that big run and put some points on the board for the Coogs. If the offensive line isn't doing their job, we will get stopped in the backfield, or if I miss a hole that the offensive line opened up for me, I'll get tackled in the backfield. It is important for everybody to do their job."
Cooper takes that weapon to Grande Communications Stadium in Midland on Friday. The Cougars are 3-1 in district. Midland High is 2-1 in District 2-5A.
