The Cooper boys are back in the soccer postseason again this year.

The Cougars finished the season in 3rd place in District 2-5A.

Head coach Lalo Munoz's team finished strong, too.

They ended the regular season with a 4-1 victory over Abilene High to sweep the season series.

Now, it's playoff time, and the Cougars are ready to get the postseason started.

Coach Lalo Munoz said "Our focus is trying to continue to get better. We know we're in the part of the season where you lose and you go home, but our focus right now is to prepare so that way we're playing better than the last game."

Michael Castillo said "I think it's going to be a pretty exciting atmosphere, and our biggest thing is to play our best and have no mistakes, and then we shouldn't have to worry about losing because we'll come out with the win."

The playoffs get started for the Cougars on Friday night.

They face El Paso Franklin in Midland at 8pm. Franklin was the 2nd place team in their district.
