For the 3rd game in a row, the Cougars started the game in a hole.
They allowed the Rebels to score on the 1st play of the game on a long pass play.
Those big plays have to stop if the Cougars want to move on this year.
Coach Moebes said, "You can't be at a loss. You better figure out a way. If you don't figure out a way, it's going to keep happening. I guess we thought we had found a way, and it keeps happening, so we got to find another way. We'll keep going back to the drawing board and keep coaching them hard, just like we do every single week. I have been proud of the way our guys have practice year long. They've done a real good job at practice. We've just got to be able to execute when the lights come on." Moebes added, "We've got to be able to play and adjust better to what the other offense is doing. We've got to play a more complete game as a football team."
Cooper returns home for game 2 of play in the Little Southwest Conference. They take on Lubbock Coronado at Shotwell Stadium. Both teams are 0-1 in district.
