The running game led the way for the 3rd week in a row, but on Friday, the weather made that part of the offense even more important.
Cooper rushed for over 330 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Even when you know it's coming, the Cougars are hard to stop.
Head coach Todd Moebes said, "We've been pleased with our running game. Certainly it was in need the other night with the wind the way it was the other night, whether you were going into it or you got it to your back, people think that because it's to your back it's an advantage, sometimes it could be a disadvantage. We were able to keep the ball on the ground. We felt comfortable with what were were doing. We were able to make some plays and keep moving the chains and put some points on the board."
The Cougars are back on the road this week in District 2-5A. They travel out to Odessa to face the Permian Panthers. Cooper is 5-1. Permian is 2-3 in district play.
