Cougars Can't Get Pass Permain Panthers

The Cooper Cougars made their way out to Ratliff Stadium in Odessa tonight to take on the Permian Panthers.

It was a back and forth game and with the game tied at 40 in the third, Cooper running back Skyler Wilson found the end zone to put the Cougars up 47-40.

Permian would answer in the fourth quarter when running back Mikorban Fields took off for a long touchdown run to tie the game at 47.

The Panthers would score again when Fields got into the end zone on a short touchdown run to put Permian up 54-47.

With just over 20 seconds remaining in the game, Cooper quarterback Lorenzo Joe found Trey Dye for the touchdown. Cooper decided to go for the two-point conversion, but can't get it.

Permian holds on and gets the 54-53 victory.
