Cowboys defense improving

October 25th, 2017 - The Dallas Cowboys defense certainly seems to be improving, and if the game against the San Francisco 49ers is any indication, they're really improving.

They gave up just 249 yards, had five sacks, and the defense had two take-aways.

It certainly helps when they have Sean Lee and Anthony Hitchens on the field at the same time at linebacker, and Hitchens knows that the team effort certainly helps.

Anthony Hitchens said, "Anytime you can make big plays  like that in the running game it's fun, but you've got to give credit to the D-line. If I'm free, it isn't because I'm faster than everybody else. It's not like that. They've knocking off the offensive line. They're knocking off pullers. Anytime you see a linebacker free in this defense, you've got to give credit to the D-line."

The Cowboys got back into practice on Wednesday preparing for the Washington Redskins, and they only had four players that did not practice.

Dan Bailey did not practice along with Tyron Smith, Kyle Wilber, and Chidobe Awuzie.

That's nothing compared to the Redskins who had thirteen guys on the injury report.
