Cowboys Lose To TLU In Men's Tennis

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team dropped its final meeting as conference opponents to Texas Lutheran, 5-4, on Saturday afternoon at the Streich Tennis Center.
 
TLU rallied for a 5-4 to post its first win over HSU in the ASC era. HSU fell to 1-6 overall and 0-1 in ASC West action. TLU improved to 5-3 overall and 1-0 in league play.
 
HSU jumped out to a 4-1 lead after taking the first two double matches and No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Michael McCullough and Nathan Chavez won their No. 1 doubles match and then won straight set matches at No. 1 and No. 2 singles respectively.
 
Three of the four matches at No. 3-No. 6 went to three sets and the Bulldogs won all of them.
 
HSU will return to action on March 18 when it plays four matches in California.
