Cowboys Taking Mini-Camp Day-By-Day

June 14th, 2017 - We start with the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys just finished off their second day of  mini-camp over in Frisco.

This is the only part of the off-season program that is mandatory for the players. As is the case for most of the teams in the NFL these days, most of the Cowboys live near the team offices.

Seems like that would be a good thing, but Jason Garrett has his mind on other things this week.

"It's a good thing for our team that we have a lot of guys who live in Dallas, and who workout here in the offseason," Jason Garrett said. "Prior to the offseason program, once we get in the offseason program and throughout OTA's, that's a positive thing for our team. But our focus is on today. Our focus is on, not necessarily what we've done up to this point, it's about taking advantage of this opportunity today. We're excited about a chance to go out there and practice against each other, we'll put them in some different situations and hopefully grow and get better."

Today was day two of mini-camp and it end tomorrow.

And then the players are on their own for a month. The players arrive in Oxnard, California on July 22nd. The first practice is July 24th.
