Derek Scott Glad to be Back With Football Team

One of the six returning starters for head coach Steve Warren is quarterback Derek Scott.

Scott was late getting to Spring football practice because the baseball team advanced to the playoffs.

However, he and his 2,000 yards passing and 20 touchdowns from 2013 are back at work, and he looking forward to getting better.

"It feels good. It feels good to be back hanging out with the guys, working hard to get ready for the fall. I think a lot more confidence. I'm definitely more confident in what I'm doing, being able to run the system and being able to execute in what every we're thrown in to," said quarterback Derek Scott.

"Not only him, but three or four other kids. We certainly wish they were in the playoffs, but at the same time now they're back on the field with us getting repetition. You get better by repetition. Now we've got all our guys out there that are going to be contributing on Friday nights, and we're certailny glad to have them back," said head coach Steve Warren.

Spring football finishes on Friday, May 23rd, at Shotwell Stadium... The Game of Champions is first and it is followed by the Black/Gold scrimmage.
