Dorrel pleased Wildcats becoming a team

August 18, 2017 - ABILENE, Texas -- The ACU Wildcats celebrated the end of the second week of practice with their second scrimmage on Thursday night.

On the first day of workouts, head coach Adam Dorrel was disappointed with the way the team competed and their endurance.

Thursday night, he loved the way his team competed, and he's impressed with the way his guys are becoming a team.

Adam Dorrel said, "So far what I've seen is, I have seen a group that's starting to care about each other, they're learning how to be Wildcats the way we want to do that through their accountability for each other, the way they practice, the way they're learning to play the game with good fundamentals, so we're moving in the right direction you know. It's good to see."

The Wildcats have two weeks to get ready for their opener.

They start 2017 in Albuquerque against New Mexico.

The home opener at Anthony Field is September 16th against Houston Baptist.
